Bio

Sherafghan Iftikhar, born on March 5, 1992, in Lahore, Pakistan, earned his Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from COMSATS University, Lahore, Pakistan, from February 2010 to February 2014. He then pursued a Master's in Chemical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, specializing in membrane simulation for ethanol recovery from July 2017 to July 2019. Sherafghan started his Ph.D. at North Carolina State University in August 2019 under Dr. Fanxing Li, focusing on sustainable carbon dioxide and methane conversion. Noteworthy for his work, he received the Vivian T. Stannett Graduate Award for Outstanding Early Publication and the Kokes Travel Award. Sherafghan's academic journey expanded in April 2024 when he joined Berkeley Lab to delve into thermochemical energy storage with Dr. Sumanjeet Kaur, merging his engineering expertise with new research horizons.
